Lisa Stevens, an accomplished sculptor and ceramic artist, has been thriving in her artistic journey for more than twenty years. Initially, she worked as a sculptor at Aardman Animations, contributing her talent to beloved films such as “Chicken Run” and “Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit.” However, Lisa eventually ventured into the realm of ceramic clay, where she uncovered her genuine passion for texture, color, and environmental themes.
A noteworthy project that Lisa embarked on is called “The 100 Day Project” on Instagram. Within this ongoing series, she meticulously crafts captivating coral wall sculptures in the shape of teardrops, each one named after an ocean, sea, or other significant bodies of water. By immortalizing these remarkable natural wonders, Lisa shines a spotlight on their fragility and the urgent need for their preservation. Through her artwork, she gently reminds us to value and protect the oceans, which are vital to sustaining life on our planet.
Take a moment to admire some of her breathtaking creations showcased in the gallery below.
